Dennis Arrow

Elisabeth Ortyl tells us that her dad was named Dennis as his father named him after the coach he used to drive between Croydon and the south coast in the 20s and 30s. It was a Dennis Arrow.

The photo was taken in 1930 when her granddad was 33 years old. He is smartly dressed in a suit and white overall and his name was William James Finch. He was employed by a Croydon company called Bourne and Balmer and drove coaches between Croydon and the coast. In summer he worked 7 days a week!
